Today,
January 22, 2013, is the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the case that
legalized abortion. Since that time over 55 million lives have been
ended by this "safe" procedure. In the United States one child every 27
second loses his or her life for another's choice, another's
convenience. The statistic around the world is much more staggering. We
cannot count the impact of the lives lost in the enterprise for "women's
rights" nor can we mourn enough what each of those lives would have
meant to our country and our world. How many lives must be sacrificed in
order for women to achieve "liberation"? How many innocent children
must suffer the consequences of our selfishness?
Can
liberation by such violent, selfish means be really freeing? Is it not
only a temporary liberation? Killing the innocent to gain liberation is
not truly freeing.
Although
we mourn the death of the child we must remember that there is a second
victim in abortion, that of the mother. Her life also will never be the
same. |

| Letter to President Obama
Mr. President you stated not long ago "If
there's even one life that can be saved, then we've got an obligation
to try," You said. "When it comes to protecting the most vulnerable
among us, we must act now. ... Let's do the right thing." I
know you were talking about Gun Control, I know you were talking about
children in schools, but Mr. President I must ask, is there not someone
more vulnerable in America today? Is there not a life that we could
save?
The
answer is yes. The Unborn are the most vulnerable members of society,
yet you have stated time and time again that they can be mercilessly
killed. These children also have there entire lives ahead of them, yet
you voted four times in Illinois to keep infanticide legal. I ask you
now to live up to your words and save the precious, priceless children
that are being slaughtered everyday with your approval. Abortion must
end now. 40 years of merciless killing and violence has been far to
many. Do the right thing, support ending abortion now. If you do not we,
the American, people have the obligation to try, by electing into
Congress members who will oppose your agenda. |
